Our Mission
To inspire and empower suburbanites to ditch the turf grass wastelands and transform their yards into thriving, biodiverse spaces by providing comprehensive educational materials and practical tools. Through our commitment to fostering environmental awareness and stewardship, we aim to cultivate a movement of reforestation, one backyard at a time, while nurturing a deeper connection with nature and supporting the well-being of our planet.

About Us
At Plant for Biodiversity, we're a suburban family who discovered our love for gardening and biodiversity when we bought our first home. What began as a simple backyard hobby to grow fruit trees and berry bushes has now blossomed into a full-blown passion project to beautify and reforest our backyard.

As we began to see our backyard coming to life with wildlife returning and that we could harvest a bit of fresh fruit and berries in our own backyard to boot, we quickly realized that our little oasis could make an impact on the environment and local wildlife and also create a fun hobby for us to work on together as a family.

Determined to share our newfound passion with others, we created PlantForBiodiversity.com as a platform to connect, learn, educate, motivate, and support fellow gardening enthusiasts in their journey towards creating sustainable, biodiverse landscapes. Our mission is to together empower each other to take action, one yard at a time, and contribute to a greener, more sustainable future.

We aim to share research, experiment, and document our experiences and ideas in creating diverse ecosystems that not only beautify our surroundings but also support ourselves and the countless species that depend on them. Through our blog, resources, and community engagement, we aim to inspire others to join us in making a positive impact on our environment and the world.

We welcome you to Plant for Biodiversity, and we can't wait to see how your passion for gardening and biodiversity flourishes, just as ours did. Let's grow together and make a difference, one yard at a time!
